Salem:The distribution of free textbooks to the students of all classes will begin on May 25.According to a press release, the State Government has initiated steps to ensure that all the students have the textbooks from the very first day of re-opening of the school.
In Salem district, a total of 5,02,933 textbooks will be distributed to the students through the heads of the schools as per the following schedule: May 25 - students of Standard I, VI and IX can receive the books, May 26 - Standard II and VII, May 28 - Standard III, VIII and X, May 29 - Standard IV, V and XII.Students can approach the respective schools to receive the textbooks as per the above schedule.
