Polaris launches development facility in Canada
Chennai-based Polaris Software Lab has launched a development centre and a software testing laboratory in Mississauga, Ontario. This facility is aimed at providing the firm’s North American clients a cost-effective nearshore application development centre that falls in the same time zone as well.The software firm announced that development and application certification projects for two customers have already commenced at the facility, situated near the Toronto airport.Arup Gupta, president and COO, Polaris said: “The Canada centre, like our other overseas facilities improves the company’s ability to serve its North America-based clientele with the convenience and cost-efficiency of a nearshore facility.” He added that the newly-launched lab reflected the company’s strategy to assume the lead in providing specialised testing solutions for global banking and financial services institutions through the PACE practice, integrating local expertise in domain and technology. Polaris Application Certification Enterprise (PACE) is an independent verification and validation unit of the company that’s been providing testing services to global financial institutions for the last eight years. The Global PACE Lab, provides independent performance engineering consultancy services, ISV and product performance benchmarking, remote application performance testing and tuning, customer application hosting and testing and remote application and systems performance, availability and stability management.
