New PF office
The new building to be declared open on Saturday.The new office building of Tirunelveli Sub-Regional Office of Employees' Provident Fund Organisation and staff quarters, constructed at a cost of Rs. 13.07 crore, will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Oscar Fernandes, on Saturday.The structure has come up on a piece of land behind the Regional Transport Office at NGO `B' Colony.The three-storey building has a total plinth area of 2,958.56 square metre (built-up area of 10,682.31 sq.m. by achieving 1.31 Floor Space Index against the permissible FSI of 1.50) at a cost of Rs. 5.71 crore. The staff quarters has been constructed on an outlay of Rs. 6.23 crore on an area of 7,058 sq. m.According to P.K. Venkat, proprietor, Mathangi Constructions,"The building will be a landmark structure in the city as it encompasses modern facilities and highly reliable security systems.For providing modular furniture alone on a par with multi-national companies, a sum of Rs. 1.13 crore has been spent."
