Special camera in VAO examination
Tiruchi:Special cameras will be set up at select centres for monitoring the written test for recruitment to the post of Village Administrative Officer (VAO) to be held in the district on June 10, the Collector, Ashish Vachchani, has said.Presiding over a meeting convened for chalking out the examination-related arrangements here on Saturday, Mr. Vachchani said that the test would be conducted at 54 centres with adequate police security.The district administration had identified a few centres where special cameras would be set up.A total of 29,526 candidates would sit for the examination to be held in and around Srirangam, Manaparai, Musiri, Thoittyam and Thuraiyur.The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation would operate special buses to facilitate the candidates reach the examination centres.The test would commence at 10 a.m. and the candidates were expected to be present at the venue at 9 a.m.
As there is a ban on the use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets at the hall, such accessories would be seized. Mr. Vachchani said that all the 54 examination centres had been divided into nine zones and each one would be monitored by a zonal officer.A total of 15 flying squads would conduct surprise checks.As many as 119 officials had been appointed as chief superintendents of examinations while there would be one invigilator for every 20 candidates for ensuring fair conduct of the test.The Superintendent of Police, N. Rajasekaran, and the District Revenue Officer, A. Nambirajan, were among those who participated in the meeting.
