Law collage students 'sit-in' agitation

Tirunelvali: Students of Government Law College here continued their ‘sit-in’ agitation for the second day on Tuesday after talks with the officials failed to make headway.Demanding stipend and scholarships for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students in time and the transfer of students to college of their choice, appointment of full-time lecturers etc., the students commenced their protest on Monday.

As their talks with the officials failed, they announced that their agitation would continue until their “genuine demands” were met.Since there was no progress in the talks held on Tuesday also, they refused to give up their protest.
