Tirunelvali: Thousands of devotees participated in the 504th ‘Ani’ car festival of Swamy Nellaiyappar–Gandhimathi Ambal temple here on Friday. The Speaker, R. Avudaiyappan, the Mayor of Tirunelveli Corporation, A.L. Subramanian, the MLA, N. Maalairaja, the District Collector, G. Prakash, the Corporation Commissioner, T. Mohan, and the District Revenue Officer, G. Srinivasan, participated in the function.More than 500 policemen took care of security arrangements.Surveillance cameras were fitted at all the four car streets and also inside the temple.
