New Horizon Media, a book publishing firm started by Cricinfo founder Badri Seshadri and which has been bringing out only Tamil books so far, has ventured into English language publications under the imprint Indian Writing, reports Our Bureau from Chennai. The English imprint would bring out translations of Indian novels and short stories, the company said. To begin with, it has launched four books translated from Tamil. NHM has published 285 books so far — all in Tamil —, including 221 titles under the Kizhakku imprint, 44 under the Varam (religious books) imprint, and 20 under the Nalam (health-related books) banner. It has also brought out 16 audio books.
