“240 schools upgraded”

Nagercoil: The Government is striving hard to improve the lot of students by upgrading schools in the State, said the Tourism Minister, N. Suresh Rajan.Speaking at the inaugural function of a drinking water facility and overhead tank at Sir C.V. Raman Higher Secondary School at Boothapandi recently, the Minister said that In this academic year alone 120 middle schools and another 120 high schools were upgraded. The Government has reduced the fee in engineering colleges to Rs.7,500 as it would help rural students.
