Analytical technique in food processing

Tanjore: The Paddy Processing Research Centre (PPRC) here conducted a summer training course in analytical technique in food processing for the benefit of students of various colleges in and around Thanjavur, according to its Director (in-charge), K. Singaravadivelu.

In a press release Dr. Singaravadivelu said that the working of high-tech analytical instruments, spectro photometer, image analyser and fermenter were demonstrated to them.The Centre offers courses in rice processing technology, food product development, preservation and handling of high-tech equipment throughout the year.He said that there was a need for updating the knowledge of the student community to adapt themselves with the competitive world in the field of biotechnology.
