Cuddalore: With the release of water from Mettur dam, preparation for samba cultivation has started in full swing in the district. Agriculture Department has kept adequate stocks of fine variety of paddy seeds, fertilizers and other inputs, according to T. Gunasekaran, Joint Director of Agriculture. A total of 958 tonnes of paddy seeds had been kept ready in the 30 agriculture extension centres.
